Karen Elaine Booth

1944-2022

 

Ridgeway, MO: Karen Elaine (Boothe) Booth, 78, Ridgeway, MO passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Orilla’s Way Assisted Living in Grant City, MO.

     She was born on November 3, 1944, at the Woods Hospital, Bethany, MO the daughter of Raymond D. and C. Lorraine (Parkhurst) Boothe of Eagleville, Mo.

     She graduated from North Harrison High School in 1962 and married Steven Lane Booth on December 24, 1963, at the Christian Church in Ridgeway, MO.    

     Karen was known to be an avid owl collector and had many displayed inside her home along with other Coca-Cola and Elvis Presley collectibles. She was often seen sitting on the porch and chatting with her neighbor, Elaine Meinecke. Karen loved her grandsons and enjoyed visits from everyone.

     She had worked at Lambert Manufacturing for 19 years and then for 21 years as a checker at Wal-Mart until she was unable to work due to illness.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Eugene Boothe (Regina Coulthard); brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde “Sonny” Booth, Gary Booth, Glenn Anderson, Gary and Patty Wood, Junior and Melba Stallsworth, and Louisa Jennings.

     Karen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Steven Lane Booth of the home; son, Ricky Lane Booth (Robin), Ridgeway, MO; daughter, Patricia Lynn Ellis (Jeremy), Bethany, MO; grandsons, Caleb Lane Booth (Hanna), Ravenwood, MO, Mason Lee Booth, St. Joseph, MO, and Jeremy Wyatt Ellis, Cameron, MO; brother, Larry Boothe (Sue), Ankeny, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Peggy Anderson, Iva Polley, Eva Lucas, William and Shari Booth, Jack and Charlotte Booth, Zoe and Marvin Scott, and Marcia Booth.

     Karen has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.

     Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Harrison County Hospice and/or Harrison County Transportation Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
