Kelly Monroe “Roe” Cox

1954-2021

 

Eagleville, MO: Kelly Monroe “Roe” Cox, a dedicated, hard-working farmer passed away on November 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 67.

     Roe was born in Bethany, MO on August 20, 1954 to Marilyn (Mathes) and Leo Cox.  He graduated from North Harrison High School in 1972 and worked his whole life on the farm, which he was very proud of.  On March 24, 1979 and March 22, 1982 respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful daughters Korissa and Kelsey, who were the most important in his life.  He married Kerry Williams, a music teacher and the love of his life. 

     Roe was a devoted husband and father and a hard worker.  He spent most of his time taking care of his farm with his beloved dog Lola and he was very proud of his livestock.  Roe was a well-known man around town, always willing to help others and just a good simple man.  He worked very hard to take care of Kerry and his daughters.  Roe accepted Christ as a teenager, was a spiritual man and a member of the Bethany Church of Christ.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him well.

     Roe is survived by his wife, Kerry; his mother, Marilyn Cox; his daughters, Korissa Robertson and her husband, Garret Robertson and children, Kamden and Kira Robertson, Kelsey Moore and her children, Parker and Chloe Moore; step-children, Sariah Williams, Levi (Amanda) Williams , Adina (Evan) Herken and their children and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by two brothers, Terry (Linda) Cox and Kelvin (Angie) Cox.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Cox.

     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 4 at Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Harrison County Hospice in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
