Raymond Eugene Boothe

1943-2022

 

Raymond Eugene Boothe, 78, Eagleville, MO passed peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, MO under the care of Three Rivers Hospice.

     He was born on May 2, 1943, in Bethany, Missouri the son of Raymond Donald and Carol Lorraine (Parkhurst) Boothe.

     He married Carol McCoy-Boothe in 1964. They divorced and he later married Regina Coulthard-Boothe in 1994.

     Raymond was a lifelong farmer and resident of Harrison County. He graduated valedictorian from North Harrison High School in 1961 and then continued his education at the University of Missouri on the Curators Scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education in 1965. He taught in Ridgway and years later he returned to the classroom to teach in Cainsville, MO. He spent many years on the Board of Education at North Harrison schools along with being a bus mechanic and driver. He worked as a Building Trades teacher for the Missouri Corrections System for several years, teaching inmates how to build houses from the ground up. He loved watching and listening to the Royals and the Missouri Tigers. He was a member of the Eagleville United Methodist Church.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Regina Coulthard-Boothe and a grandson, Levi Boothe.

     Raymond is survived by his children, Kimberly (Mike) Guilford, Macon, MO, Raymond (Amy) Boothe, Kansas City, MO, Staci (Ryan) Perry, Osborn, MO, and Lindsay (Mason) Calvert, Osborn, MO; sister, Karen (Steve) Booth, Ridgeway, MO; brother, Larry (Sue) Boothe, Ankeny, IA; nine grandchildren, Nichole, Mitchell, Makayla, Hannah, Rachel, Kristin, Mackenzie, Trevor, and Bo; eight great grandchildren; an aunt and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

     Raymond has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO.

     Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 15 at Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made toward a scholarship or any needs at North Harrison School in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Eagleville, MO 64442.
